My intense curiosity about relationship dynamics and family systems led me to pursue my graduate education and training in marriage and family therapy.
As a New York State Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I bring to my practice my authentic curiosity about you, your life, family, relationships and how you experience yourself in relation to your world. I believe that in order to understand my client’s experiences fully, it is essential to incorporate more than one model or theory into our work.
In addition to my training in family systems and psychodynamics, I have also training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Narrative Therapy. Using a collaborative approach, I feel I empower my clients to fully participate in the process of self-exploration and discovery. Through this process of unfolding and becoming increasingly self-aware, I find that mindfulness develops organically.
I work with individuals, couples, families, and groups that struggle with everyday stressors that we all encounter as humans, as well as with those who are in more heightened periods of crisis due to life transitions and changes . My areas of specialty are relationships of all types, anxiety, depression, life transitions, LGBTQ, parenting, late bloomers (coming out later in life), sexuality, and divorce.
